IT Procurement Analyst (SubCon)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join a dynamic team, responsible for handling various procurement activities. This role will focus on managing procurement operations for our diverse client base, acting as part of a center of excellence in procurement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong negotiation skills, and be experienced in the entire procurement lifecycle.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead supplier selection, contract authoring, and negotiations, including the management of procurement workflows, RFX processes, and other procurement-related tasks.
- Analyze client data and technology agreements to identify cost-saving opportunities, providing recommendations based on your findings.
- Negotiate business terms on behalf of clients for software, hardware, and services, with deal sizes ranging from $25k to hundreds of millions.
- Manage the review, negotiation, and initiation of contracts directly with service providers on behalf of clients, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Handle required reporting for clients, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Conduct contract research, respond to client queries related to IT agreements, and provide expert guidance on best practices.
- Support contract negotiations through the preparation of RFXs, supplier negotiations, and comprehensive contract review and analysis as necessary.
- Assist in the development of process improvement strategies to enhance contract lifecycle management and procurement efficiency.
Requirements:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in IT procurement, with a strong background in the end-to-end procurement process.
- Solid understanding of industry procedures, costs, and terms, with the ability to manage complex contract negotiations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant procurement tools.
- Strong budgeting and financial analysis skills, with experience in adhering to and managing strict budgets.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, with strong time-management skills and the capacity to prioritize effectively.
- Hands-on experience with RFX processes and supplier management.
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations, including drafting, reviewing, and executing procurement contracts.
