JOB PURPOSE

- To manage the IT applications & operations supporting the Stanley Black & Decker India.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Work as a member of the India Management Team, as well as Asia Pacific IT Leadership Team to develop the IT application strategy and deliver IT projects required to support the business operations across multiple sites in India.

- Act as a primary interface for all IT change initiatives and work closely with the Regional Shared Services Teams.

- Alignment of the Indian IT initiatives with the Global/Regional IT Strategies.

- Primary IT operations management for local IT applications in India.

- To provide first line support for globally supported applications (SAP R/3, BW and JDA Manugistics). To work closely with the Asia Pacific (APAC) IT teams, business managers and end users to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner and new requirements are communicated effectively.

- Help the business to leverage the use of SAP and other applications fully and promote the use of IT in India.

- Management of local Merger and Acquisition activity

- Act as point of contact for technology infrastructure IT groups in supporting the local IT infrastructure in India. Including desktop, telecoms and data network.

- Ensure governance and policies compliance as they related to corporate policies and SOX.

- Responsible for staffing and support of all resources to ensure timely delivery of approved projects and responsive support of system needs.

- Develop IT budgets for the region within guidelines provided and operate within approved budget levels.

- Keep management informed on the status of projects and issues. Seek direction and set priorities based on input from management when appropriate.

- Delivery and coordination of IT training and provision of training materials as required.

- Support and promote the use EDI. Work closely with the Global EDI team to ensure new projects are delivered in accordance with customer and business expectations.

- Coordination of regression testing activities within India in support of the monthly change move to SAP production.

- Management of external vendors as required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Minimum Degree in an IT Management or Information Systems related portfolio

- At least 10 years IT experience, some of which in a Management or Lead capacity.

- SAP knowledge essential. 3 years solid SAP R/3 experience focusing on one or more of the following modules: SD, FI, MM

- General knowledge of IT Infrastructure including PC, Telecoms and Networks

- Able to work independently. Self driven, initiative, team player and strong sense of responsibility.

- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and to specification.

- General exposure to commercial systems, ideally in a consumer goods industry.

- Experience in the management of external vendors.

- English proficiency required.
