IT Head - Power Trading Platform

Our client is a well established online power exchange and trading company that is in existence since 2008. It is India's first institutionally promoted exchange that provides innovative and credible solutions to transform the Indian Power Markets.

The Leadership team consists of brains trained at IITs, IIMs and MDI. Its unique combination of local insights and global perspectives helps its stakeholders to make better informed business and investment decisions, improves the efficiency of the power markets, and helps shape policies and projects.

As the IT Head, you will be mainly responsible for revolutionising the power sector in the country by providing efficient technology (fin-tech) that will allow buyers and sellers of electricity to transact efficiently.

What you will do - 

- Building and developing products and systems in Fin-tech domain at a national level as per business requirements

- Providing Architectural strategy that identifies the future direction of the use of technology within the domain

- Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and driving technical efficiencies of the organization

- Continuously re-inventing on what has been built to expand the IT development domain

- Working closely with regulatory team to meet business and customer requirements in line with the regulatory framework

- Working with the internal stakeholders, external vendors, outsourced resources to create best in class technology experience

- Envisioning future for technology in the interface of energy related transactions and research options for future IT development in the Organization

- Being updated with the latest disruptions in the technological world and keep refining the existing systems

- Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management

- Analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs

Candidate Profile:

What you need to have:

- Post Graduate in Management (IT / Systems), BE/B.Tech preferably in IT/CS

- 5+ years experience in IT project management, Experience of developing products, solutions would be preferred

- Be able to work both independently and collectively with other divisions to deliver high quality results for high priority and time sensitive tasks/projects

- Have excellent managerial, analytical strategic thinking, networking, interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work in modern teams, Leadership & People Management Skills

- Experience of managing large scale IT projects towards development of products or systems

- Experience of architecting a product schema for translating into a technology product / system

- Hands-on experience of coding and managing a team of coders,developers, testers

- Experience of managing external vendors and service providers
