Job Title: Head IT : Digital Solution Innovation & New Initiative
Job Purpose:The primary objective of this role is to drive digital innovation initiatives within the organization, leading the charge in identifying, conceptualizing, and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess the potential impact of emerging technologies and devise strategies for their effective integration into existing operations. Additionally, this role entails fostering a culture of innovation and facilitating the transition of digital solutions into mainstream business operations.
Responsibilities:Innovation Strategy Development:- Develop and refine the organization's digital innovation strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation and gain a competitive edge.
Technology Assessment and Adoption:- Evaluate emerging technologies through in-depth research, pilot projects, and feasibility studies to assess their potential impact on business operations.
- Lead the implementation of selected technologies, ensuring seamless integration and maximizing business value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Collaborate with various departments, including R&D, marketing, operations, and IT, to understand their technological needs and challenges.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and brainstorming sessions to foster innovation and identify new opportunities.
Project Management:- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital innovation projects from conception to implementation.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement:- Engage with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gain buy-in and support for digital innovation initiatives.
- Communicate effectively to convey the value proposition of new technologies and solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
Vendor Management:- Evaluate and select external vendors and partners to support digital innovation initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions within budget and timeline constraints.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success and impact of digital innovation projects.
- Regularly report on project progress, evaluate outcomes against predefined targets, and make data-driven recommendations for future initiatives.
Change Management:- Develop change management strategies to drive adoption and acceptance of new digital solutions across the organization.
- Provide training, support, and resources to help employees adapt to new technologies and ways of working.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital innovation, technology management, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing organisation or technology driven organisation
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and IoT, and their application in business contexts.
- Proven track record of leading successful digital innovation projects from conception to implementation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker with a keen business acumen and the ability to translate technological trends into actionable insights.
- Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and strategic partnerships is desirable.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or innovation management is a plus.
