IT Business Analyst - Investment Accounting Domain

Job Description:

An IT business analyst with 5-10 years of experience with a focus in Finance/Accounting and Capital markets (Asset Management preferably).

Requirement :

- Well verse with accounting life cycle and configuration of posting rules (preferably in brokerage accounting).

- Adept in recording journals, posting to ledgers, accruing income/expense, transaction reversal, late transactions and close period valuation.

- Business requirement document for posting rules - multiple statuses through-out life cycle

- Basic understanding of data model, data base querying for analysis purpose <no expectation of coding>

- Understanding of reference data, enterprise data management, data warehouse and accounting systems such as Broadridge system (BPS transactional posting logic), FIS Phase3, etc.

- Understanding of SDLC and preparedness for testing posting rules.

- Well verse with capital markets, brokers, asset management and asset owner space - trade life cycle, reconciliation, asset allocations, etc.

- Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills.

Desired Candidate:

- We need someone with Trade life cycle experience in capital market, Accounting life cycle, must be a IT BA who understand SDLC experience, require reference data experience

- Candidate would work for Brokerage accounting clients, will work on accounting software, if any changes/upgrade, configure, implement as per client requirement

- Fund accounting in IT experience is mandatory
