Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the government sector, with a primary focus on datacenter and network solutions.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers within government agencies at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, engineering, and product management to develop compelling solutions that address the specific needs of government clients.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape within the government sector to inform strategic decision-making.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our solutions and build brand awareness.
- Act as a trusted advisor to government clients, providing expert guidance on best practices, technology trends, and solution architectures.
- Drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets by consistently delivering value to government clients and exceeding their expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the technology industry, with specific experience in datacenter and networking solutions.
- Deep understanding of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.
- Strong network of contacts within the government sector, including federal, state, and local agencies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business growth and exceeding targets.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend meetings, and participate in industry events.
