Years of Experience: 2-7 years Business Banking (Corporate) /mid-market / SME Background (BBG category 100/500cr - 5000cr) / Primary market

Qualification: Bachelor degree in finance, business, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.

Job Description:

- Scoping and scanning the market for origination of deals; Identify potential transactions, generate leads, engage with bank relationship managers to convert the lead into a transaction

- Strong networking with corporates (Mid to Large) and other intermediaries/channel partners.

- Build rapport with key decision makers (promoters, CFOs etc.)

- Do cold calling and reach out to clients, wherever necessary

- Originating deals for capital market activities like IPO, FPO, QIPs etc and Private Equity fund raising.

- Strong networking with Funds, Family offices etc.

- Assist and/or prepare pitches with market and industry landscapes, financial analysis & valuations, target companies profiles & benchmarking, pricing and market information

- Analysis and interpretation of financial statements including preparing trading and transaction comparable and benchmarking for companies. Extract information from company annual reports, databases and other sources, etc

- Source and interpret company & industry information from a variety of data sources (company reports, Internet, online databases, inhouse research, subscribed databases, etc) with an aim to forming views on the industry, key trends and individual companies.

- Track target companies on an ongoing basis for performance, potential fund raise activities, etc

- Collaborate with captive channels like branch banking, wealth, privy etc. for lead origination.

- Work closely with other coverage team members and help them as necessary for their presentations/pitchbooks

- Well versed on general Indian equity capital markets and SEBI Regulations

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.

- Extensive experience (typically 5-7 years) in investment banking, capital markets, or a related field, with a strong track record in IPO origination and business development.

- Deep understanding of the IPO process, including deal structuring, due diligence, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.

- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess company financials, market potential, and growth prospects.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to secure IPO mandates and navigate complex deal processes.

- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Up-to-date knowledge of the financial industry, capital markets, and regulatory frameworks.
