PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
- Critical Business Partnership role where in you are required to contribute to development of a sound Corporate Strategic Plan and Provide meaningful insight on business performance with quality analysis on revenue, costs and competition. Role requires the incumbent to participate in cross-functional projects and play critical role in driving critical business KPIs. Role includes ensuring delivery of Key Financial metrics by consolidation & management of budgets and financial reports. Analyze and provide insight in preparation of various results, reports and budgets within the required timelines.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Support the development, maintenance, consolidation and updates of the company wide Budgets consistent with budget calendar. Provide critical analysis and insights on key business KPIs. Run simulations of different business scenarios to provide meaningful insights for pricing, volume growth and cost control. Ensure timely submission of business critical MIS and reports for regional consolidation. Engage with functional teams to ensure budget adherence and provide for insights for any deviations.
- Manage and own P&L for India business- Forecasting the revenue, costs, and profits- Financial reporting to senior management- Partnering with different business team, accounts team and external partners- Preparation of commercial terms/models.
- Perform overall variance analysis to compare actual vs. budgets and RF results at the end of each reporting period and report on significant variances. Prepare, analyze and report monthly Cost Center's expenditures along with variances and investigate the reasons for such variances, prepare budget control / monthly management reports highlighting deviations, if any.
- In co-ordination with Supply Chain team, verify & assist in finalizing the product costing with JV Partner on half yearly basis. Keep track of the actual cost vs. standard costs and reconcile the differences.
- Maintain close relationship and efficient correspondence within the organization as well as with regional counterparts to provide and obtain necessary information to conduct day to day business and to continue being a fast and accurate information center.
- Monitor and analyze impact of changes in economic and regulatory environment, and taxation in forms of GST, Excise levy etc. through media monitoring and other sources.
Skills & Competencies:
- 2 to 3 years' experience in a Business Planning / Finance / Commerce or similar role within FMCG Company. Exposure to broad business issues and demonstrated analytical capability, along with the ability to work with people at all levels within the organization
Requirements:
- Educational: Only Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Experience: 2-3 years post qualifications.
