The "VP - Strategy & Business Development" role is as close as it gets to being CEO of the company. Your primary responsibility will be leading the marketing and sales team to ensure that the company hits our quarterly and annual topline targets. You will also be responsible for identifying, communicating and guiding the product & business strategy for our Electronics Business Unit.
What you will do:
- You will initiate and lead the sales conversation as SPOC for High Value lead/customers
- Hire, train, manage & motivate the salesforce to achieve team & company targets
- Grow revenue & gain market share in the BMS (+ electronics) business
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 Battery Suppliers
- Convert your intimacy with the market needs intro clear product & business strategy for the company.
- Get buy-in from the VP of Engg on your plans and hold the different business/operations leaders accountable to their targets.
- Make quarterly reports to the entire company about the performance of the BU and the direction for the upcoming quarter.
- Build sales & expense forecasts for the company and measure performance of the BU
This is you:
- 5+ years of sales experience with Automotive Electronics Supplier / New Energy Electronics Supplier (mandatory)
- Masters Degree in Management from IIM/ISB/BITS (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Automotive Electronics, Lithium-Ion Batteries, Battery Management Systems (Preferred)
- Entrepreneurial Mindset (Preferably Past Startup Entrepreneur)
- Excited about the EV revolution and about helping the world transition to an all-electric future
- High aptitude, high energy personality with the ability to make strategic decisions swiftly
- Ability to tap into the trends of the market and actively guide product direction
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
- Ability to quickly understand complex problems and package custom solutions for customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication for international sales
