Job Description :
Our client is a Family Office that is looking to hire a senior professional in Private Equity who will be responsible for sourcing, assist in negotiating and executing private equity transactions to build a portfolio keeping in view the family office's risk appetite, return expectations and investment philosophy.
Based at : Mumbai
Key responsibilities and accountabilities :
- Analysis of potential investments (private as well as public market) covering all aspects of risk.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of industry, sector, and the investment opportunity.
- Prepare and present detailed Investment note for approval by the Investment Committee.
- Execution of new investments, including valuation (DCF, public comps, precedent transaction comps) and analysis (financial and operational), the appraisal and due diligence of investments to be presented to the Investment Committee.
- Preparing post-due-diligence notes, negotiating and executing the transaction, coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders involved in deals (Commercial and Investment Banks, legal, compliance etc.)
- Developing and maintaining relationships with all portfolio companies at a working and senior management level.
- Continuous monitoring of holdings to ensure company profiles and returns remains consistent with expectations.
- Planning and strategizing the exit, bolt-on acquisitions that enhance investment value.
- Regular updates on investment strategy, macro factors, trends, public market securities pricing, portfolio positioning, and market dynamics.
- Interact with sell-side analysts, company management, and other industry experts to support investment thesis
Educational Qualifications :
MBA/ CA with 12+ plus years of experience in Private and Public Markets
Domain Knowledge :
- Should have a good network among intermediaries, Investment Bankers, CA's and experience in identifying deals across various sectors
- Should have working knowledge on the due diligence and legal documentations around a deal
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience in solving complex problems independently and as part of a team
- Solid finance and accounting knowledge, and strong modelling skills
