We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual with a proven track record in selling start-up ventures as an asset class to Angel Investors and High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales, building and nurturing relationships with investors, and expanding our investor base. This role requires exceptional presentation and communication skills, a strong entrepreneurial mindset, and a deep understanding of the start-up ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Investor Relations:
- Identify, target, and engage with potential Angel Investors and HNIs to present investment opportunities in startups.
- Conduct sales pitches and presentations to effectively communicate the value proposition of investing in startup ventures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing investors, providing them with regular updates and opportunities for additional investments.
- Act as a trusted advisor to investors, offering insights and guidance on investment decisions within the startup space.
2. Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand our investor network and reach new potential investors.
- Proactively seek out and establish partnerships with relevant organizations, events, and networks to generate leads and referrals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and prioritize target markets and sectors for investment opportunities.
3. Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging opportunities within the startup ecosystem.
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential investment opportunities, evaluating their viability and potential for returns.
- Analyze and interpret financial data, business models, and growth projections to assess the attractiveness of investment opportunities.
4. Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Maintain accurate records of investor interactions, sales activities, and deal pipelines using CRM systems or other tools.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, such as sales targets, conversion rates, and investor satisfaction levels.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior management on sales progress, market trends, and investor feedback.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales roles within the finance, investment, or startup industry, with a focus on selling startup ventures as an asset class to Angel Investors and HNIs.
- Strong network of Angel Investors, HNIs, and relevant industry contacts.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and investment concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. - Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities, with a natural flair for engaging and influencing others.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to analyze investment opportunities and assess their potential risks and returns.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA qualification preferred).
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for startups and innovation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and market conditions.
