Investment Manage based in New Delhi

We are looking for an Investment Manager, who is motivated by making investments in the most challenging markets across the Globe.

As Investment Manager, you will:

- become part of an engaged and experienced investment organization with over 50 investment professionals covering all types of investments.

- primarily be a member of deal teams;

- analysing and executing new investment proposals,

- conducting due diligence,

- carrying out financial modelling,

- taking part in negotiating terms and

- drafting legal documentation, preparing, and

- following up on materials for the investment committee and board, etc.

Identifying investment opportunities

- Identify and develop new investment opportunities

- Prepare, participate and follow-up on meetings with potential project partners

- Actively promote potential new projects

- Actively participate in marketing activities to promote company's investments,

- Disseminate knowledge about the company through active contact to relevant stakeholders and target segments including Investment Banks, PE funds, other DFIs, etc.

- Take active part in assigned deal teams and: Assist in structuring project companies together with relevant partners and take active part in the deal structuring and management of the transaction

- Participate in or conduct the due diligence processes (regarding commercial, finance, sustainability, management and other key issues)

- Elaborate project appraisals and recommendations for the company's Investment Committee regarding new investments and additional investments in existing portfolio companies

- Financial modelling and valuation analysis to support the deal structuring process

- Negotiate and finalize deals including legal and other aspects with support from in-house and external experts

- Take part in several investments simultaneously

Investment management

- Provide active support and guidance to the company's portfolio companies

- Build and maintain a close and constructive relationship with the company's partners in the investments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Assist with contribution to resolving problematic issues arising in the portfolio companies during the time of the company's investment

- Possibly become a member of the board of directors representing the company in several portfolio companies, depending on experience and board composition

Project activity

- Ensure a timely and accurate updating of information systems in respect of project documents, financial and sustainability reporting as well as value adjustments

Exiting the portfolio company

- Participating in reviewing and assessing optimal exit timing

- Assist in negotiation and execution of Company's exit from the portfolio companies

Closing the deal

- Assist in drafting the loan and shareholders agreements

- Processing of documentation for receipts and disbursement

Formal education, skills, and experience

- Experience with Negotiation of investment terms, loans and shareholder agreements, Transaction structuring, Due Diligence on sustainability, governance, management of partner & project companies, as well as assessment of development impact.

- Ability to independently work with financial models, draft project presentations, information notes and agreements on a high quality in respect of content as well as form.

Qualifications

The key qualifications are 2-3 years full-time experience from M&A, private equity, impact investing, consulting, or other relevant experience. In addition, you:

- hold a master's degree with excellent academic results

- are detail-oriented with a structured working approach

- are an expert user of Microsoft Office and especially Excel, with an aptitude for financial modelling

- are fluent in English both in writing and spoken

- have strong interpersonal skills and business judgement

- are willing to travel
