Job Description

The Investment Management candidate will work with Asset Backed Finance team within Structured Finance Group of BXC in New York. Candidates will gain exposure to a wide range of industries and investment structures. As a result of the breadth of the experience, candidates will develop a unique understanding of ABF deal structures, financials, borrowing base, capital structures, and credit markets.

Responsibilities:

- Perform pre-deal due diligence and deal document analysis

- Preparing reports and flagging any unusual items before deal closing

- Work with ABF Deal Analysts on investment management and monitoring activities

- Provide product data and valuation oversite

- Work on performance and attribution analysis

- Go through closing documents like credit agreements, indenture, note purchase agreement, offering circulars, etc. to build investment term sheet

- Portfolio reporting of private and public positions on a monthly/quarterly basis

- Creating and updating the credit underwriting models for the assets

- Tracking and reviewing revaluation events for the underlying assets

- Prepare cashflow reports on interest and principal payments, and analyze cashflow models and capital structure

- Monitoring covenants and important KPIs at deal level

- Working on one pager asset reviews on quarterly basis

- Working on various portfolio management activities such as quarterly reviews, PM tracker, P&I variance reporting

- Working on applications for credit analysis and monitoring such as Tableau, Street Diligence, Bloomberg, and various research portals

Qualifications:

- Master's Degree (MBA/CFA/CA preferred)

- 2+ years of relevant experience

- Experience in analyzing Asset Backed Finance deal structures and collateral

- Preferred to have an understanding of ABF sectors such as Financial, Consumer, Esoteric and Transport

- Strong data analysis skills, strong problem-solving ability, logical and analytical skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word)

- Ability to summarize large amounts of information succinctly and quickly

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to quickly digest new information and learn new businesses and processes

- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks

- Ability to operate across multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and accuracy is critical
