Title: Investment Director - Private Equity
Reports to: Partner
Reportees; Associate / Senior Associate / Vice Presidents
Location: New Delhi Region
Education: MBA or equivalent from Premier Management Institutes only.
Experience: Minimum 7+ yrs post qualification experience with strong investment experience and deal sourcing and exits in a reputed PE / VC Fund . Fund raising experience is an added advantage.

Our Client is a Private Equity Fund, formed in 2003 with a focus on Private Equity Investments in the SME, and emerging sectors in emerging markets, mainly India. The Investment Team has a cumulative experience in PE, Investment / Corporate Banking, Consulting, and Operations. Their philosophy is to be the first or amongst the early institutional investors primarily providing growth capital to fast growing companies in in India. Our Client has built up and demonstrated extensive on-the-ground expertise as well as experience in building businesses in the growth stage and handling various investment related issues.
It has raised approx USD 500 Million and invested in various investee companies and some will be invested on fresh investments, which are expected to be made over the next one year. The next round of fund raising will be conducted by mid / end of 2014
Job Objective & Key Interactions
The position is responsible for Fresh Investments as well as working with the Investee companies to maximize the value of the investments
A team of VP's / Associates will assist him / her in deal identification, negotiation, finalization and subsequently in working with the Investee companies to realize the business plans
Will need to work closely with the team of Investee companies to establish the systems, processes and reports that are required by the board and investors. A monthly review of the performance against business plan to be done for every portfolio company.
As most of the investments are already in place, the focus of the position will be on
- Smooth and profitable management of the Exits as they come up as per schedule.
- Working with the top teams of the Investee companies and in a few cases, as a member of the company’s Board, with a focus on achieving aggressive turnaround objectives
Once a new Fund is raised, the role may involve sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities
