Investment analyst VC fund

We are looking to hire Analyst for Investment and Fund Administration Team.

Required Profile :

Experience :

- 2 to 4 years of work experience. Preferred backgrounds include investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, funds administration/accounting, or related roles.

Knowledge :

- Understanding of financial markets, strong accounting, finance, analytical/strategic thinking capabilities, and quantitative skills.

Skills :

- Experience with investments and/or commercial negotiations.

- Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the investment process.

- Excellent written and spoken interpersonal communication skills.

- Experience with private equity IT platforms (added advantage).

- Self-directed, proactive, highly motivated, and able to work independently.

Education :

- Well-rounded academic background, CA or MBA preferred.

Job Responsibilities :

Fund Transaction Management :

- Assist in managing all aspects of a fund of fund transaction from initial screening to closure.

- Prepare investment collaterals.

- Handle deal documentation, including discussions with external advisors.

- Evaluate investment terms, participate in investment-related discussions and negotiations.

- Run the due diligence process, ensuring compliance with the fund's investment objectives and policies.

- Perform additional roles and responsibilities as specified by the CIO.

Research and Data Analysis :

- Conduct research and data analysis on various investment opportunities, sectors, regulations, etc.

Reporting and Policy Drafting :

- Assist in drafting reporting formats, investment policies, and procedures for implementing and managing the VC Fund.

Team Support :

- Support the team in coordinating with investors, government requirements, etc., including preparing presentations and documents.

Fund Administration :

- Assist in fund administration and monitor the progress of the VC Fund.

- Prepare/evaluate monitoring dashboards/reporting by daughter funds and internal reporting of the VC Fund.

- Coordinate with various agencies, including fund accountants, RTAs, insurance companies, DD agencies, etc.

- Assist in the preparation and verification of drawdown workings, compliance with pre-disbursement conditions, and preparation of various MIS for the VC Fund, underlying funds, and investee companies.

Relationship Management :

- Help develop and enhance relationships between stakeholders and the VC Fund.

Compliance :

- Support the team in compliance with applicable laws, including SEBI, RBI, Income Tax, etc., in relation to the VC Fund.

Reporting Structure :

- The Analyst/Associate will report to the Vice President.
