Investment Analyst - Venture Capital

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Evaluate Business ideas and build the foundation of selection decision by conducting market research, deep dive in to new industry sectors, due diligence of proposed opportunities.

- Able to perform financial analysis and modelling and interpret company data and financial data to help investment team make investment decision

- Scout for potential investment opportunities and build up strong investment case, conduct financial due-diligence, draft recommendations and portfolio review notes. Track the performance of portfolio companies and monitor their quarter-wise performance and yearly performance. Portfolio Monitoring activities include evaluation of financial budgets, key projects etc.

- Assist in managing and analyzing the portfolio. Responsible for identifying new opportunities along with tracking the existing portfolio

- Track and prepare notes on funds and Investments that we will invest in

- Track disbursements, maintain cash flow statements to monitor expected drawdowns, dividends and return of capital.

- Assist in analyzing the portfolio. Contribute to financial due-diligence, drafting recommendations, presentations and portfolio review notes

- Conduct an in-depth sector analysis overlooking current trends, development, and players in the market, outlining potentially interesting investment areas

- Monitor financial and non-financial risks related to investments and market

- Able to understand and interpret various regulatory compliances

- Assist in coordinating and implementing projects within the Group. Work with CIOs on projects directed by President-Investments

- Protect the firm's assets and public image

Educational Qualifications

a) Qualifications

- MBA/CA or a master's degree in business, economics, finance, or statistics

- CFA/FRM a plus. Candidate may be asked to complete CFA certification

- Advanced MS office skills preferred:

- Word

0 Excel: Forms, Formulas, Functions, Pivot Tables, Macros, Graphs, visual Basic

0 PowerPoint: Graphics

- Proficiency in Risk Analytics software and programming skills are a plus

b) Work Experience :

- Over 5 years of relevant work experience in an Investment company (i.e., Venture capital, Private equity, Consulting)

- Candidates from VC funds are preferred

- Strong understanding of and experience with equity and fixed Income instruments. Knowledge of global capital markets, investment process, and risk management
