Investment Analyst - Oil & Gas Sector

Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Investment Analyst with experience in the insurance and oil & gas sectors.

- The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing investment opportunities, conducting financial modeling, assessing risk, and providing strategic recommendations related to the company's investment portfolio in the insurance and oil & gas industries.

- This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and sector-specific trends to optimize returns and minimize risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Research & Analysis:

- Conduct detailed research on the insurance and oil & gas industries to identify current trends, market opportunities, and potential risks.

- Analyze market conditions, financial reports, and industry forecasts to assess investment opportunities and determine the long-term viability of projects.

- Evaluate investment vehicles such as stocks, bonds, private equity, and other financial instruments within the oil & gas and insurance sectors.

Financial Modeling & Valuation:

- Build, update, and maintain financial models to project the future performance of potential investments.

- Perform company valuation, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis for insurance and oil & gas companies.

- Evaluate risk-adjusted returns and investment structure.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess financial, operational, and sector-specific risks associated with potential investments in the oil & gas and insurance sectors.

- Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk exposures over time.

- Provide recommendations on portfolio adjustments based on risk-return profiles.

Reporting & Presentations:

- Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing the performance of investments, including financial metrics, market trends, and risk analysis.

- Present findings and investment recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

- Prepare detailed reports and investment memorandums for new investment opportunities.

Industry Liaison:

- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as industry experts, investment banks, insurance firms, oil & gas companies, and other financial professionals.

- Stay updated on regulatory changes, economic shifts, and technological advancements that may impact investments in the sectors.

Portfolio Management:

- Support the senior investment team in monitoring and managing the existing investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

- Track and report on the performance of active investments, recommending buy, sell, or hold actions.
