- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in research at an established asset management company, stockbroking firm, or financial institution. We are open to considering freshers if he/she can show a display passionate interest in investing.

- He/she will possess strong financial and accounting knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills, and a passion for equity research and investing. The ability to work independently, adapt to new situations, and synthesize information quickly is essential.

- We are not looking for star analysts but someone who can get along with the team, willing to do the hard work and voices his/her opinions.

Responsibilities:

- Ability to identify information asymmetry in the market.

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of companies, sectors, and macroeconomic trends to identify investment opportunities.

- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate companies under consideration.

- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to stay ahead of market developments.

- Engage with company management, IR representatives, and dealers to gather insights.

- Prepare quarterly updates, call/management interaction summaries, and annual report notes for covered companies.

- Stay abreast of market news, events, and developments that may impact investment decisions.

- Build a strong network with like minded investors and peers.

- Actively manage coverage responsibilities, including quarterly earnings and M&A activities.

- Produce comprehensive research reports, presentations, and internal notes on actionable investment ideas.

- Travel for industry conferences, plant visit and channel checks.

- Assist Portfolio Managers with investment research and operational tasks.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Minimum of one year of experience in equity research at an established asset management company, stockbroking firm, or financial institution.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or a related field.

- CA/CFA designation (preferred).

- Proven passion for equity research and investing.

- Strong financial and accounting knowledge.

- Excellent critical thin and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

- Strong team player and adaptable to new situations.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
