About the Department
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.
The E-Commerce specialist will play a pivotal role in advancing the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative's objectives by expanding market reach and visibility through online platforms. The role requires a strategic approach to e-commerce, including market analysis, platform selection, product positioning, and collaboration with stakeholders to enhance district-centric product sales.
Key Responsibilities- E-Commerce Strategy Development: Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to promote ODOP products, focusing on increasing online sales and brand visibility.
- Platform Selection and Management: Identify and evaluate suitable e-commerce platforms for listing ODOP products, manage listings, and optimize performance based on analytics.
- Market Analysis and Trends: Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities in the e-commerce space.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, district stakeholders, and e-commerce partners to align strategies and enhance product offerings.
- Digital Marketing and Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to create and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic and sales on e-commerce platforms.
- Sales Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and generate insights to improve product visibility, pricing, and promotional strategies
- Market Expansion: Expand the market reach of ODOP products through effective e-commerce strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure their involvement and support for e-commerce initiatives.
- Brand Development: Enhance the visibility and brand image of ODOP products in the e-commerce space.
Qualifications- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional with 4- 6 years of experience in e-commerce, with a demonstrated ability to drive sales growth.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a results-oriented approach to e-commerce strategies.
- Experience working with MSMEs is a plus.
