Invest India - Specialist - Animal Husbandry & Dairy Desk Sector

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department of Promotion for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

The Animal Husbandry and Dairy desk at Invest India is looking for a full-time resource with a master's degree in disciplines related to either - Agriculture, Economics, Veterinary Medicine, Food Technology, Management, and other allied fields. We handle Foreign Direct Investments, export facilitation, assist domestic companies with issue resolution and business expansion, and assist the ministry with policy formulation.

We would prefer someone who has an interest in the sector and is good at communication and knowledge creation (data interpretation, pitch decks for investors, research reports). Open to hiring freshers or anyone with up to 6 years' work experience. (Associate/Assistant Manager/Manager/Consultant).

What the role will involve:

1) Preparing research reports and pitch decks for the Ministry

2) Targeting companies within and outside India to spur growth in the livestock, veterinary, and dairy sector

3) Assisting companies with market research and issue resolution by facilitating meetings between companies and relevant government bodies

4) Creating an export strategy for India's dairy and livestock sector

5)Facilitating GI tagging of select dairy and livestock products

6)Taking up special projects that connect the livestock, animal health and related sectors with initiatives undertaken by multilateral bodies

7)Preparing research reports with policy recommendations

7) Organizing webinars, roundtables, B2B events, roadshows within and outside India

8) Collaborating with other teams within Invest India and external industry associations

Experience and Qualifications:

1) Post-graduate/MBA from India or abroad

2) 0-5 years of work experience in a front-end role at a consulting firm / developmental agency/ investment bank / investment promotion agency / global corporate working in livestock/agriculture/food or allied sectors.

3)Experience of preparing DPR's, policy briefs, policy analysis, research reports

4)Ability to work in teams and take ownership of the task at hand

5)Strong commitment to accuracy and professionalism

6)Excellent communication, people, and analytical skills

7) Ability to work amid strict deadlines and on multiple projects.

8) Preference will be given to candidates with some exposure to livestock, dairy, or food sector.
