Invest India - Senior Specialist - BFSI Sector

The Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Desk at Invest India facilitates the growth of the BFSI and Fintech sector in India through investment facilitation, policy advocacy, issue resolution, outreach and global promotion, and stakeholder management. The team vision is to leverage the potential of the sector, and its partners and provide an impetus to the domestic industry while assisting policies that enable a conducive ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand the BFSI industry and the pain points and global best practices to effectively communicate and co-create industry growth strategy

- Address ad hoc requests from the ecosystem and from various departments; maintain various microsites towards capturing key industry trends and snapshot

- Management of investor targeting related events and promotional platforms to showcase the BFSI, Fintech and India opportunity to investors

- Developing strategic relationships with banking and insurance institutions from horizontal market entry perspective towards building the broader investment potential across sectors

- Building and multi-year engagement plan for the BFSI sector and driving outcome based on the the plan

- Building and management of an account strategy and plan for key players in the BFSI sector

- Oversee and prepare key industry briefs and strategic collateral for internal and external stakeholders including pitch-decks, company and industry briefs, policy-impact analysis, sector snapshots etc.

- Have deep analytical thinking and the ability to formulate company-level and industry-level strategies for market entry, market expansion and overall business and industry growth in India

- Managing and developing key stakeholder relationships including investors, government, regulators, domestic & foreign industry bodies, etc.

- Support the industry with policy representations with regulators and Government and issue redressal to enable overall ease of doing business in the sector

- Building BFSI sector expertise and preparing industry reports, presentations concerning the sector ecosystem and its growth

- Planning and executing industry engagement activities such as roundtables, stakeholder consultations, government briefings, webinars etc.

- Leading cross-team engagements to drive investment promotion efforts and policy interventions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and mentoring team members towards fostering professional growth and development
