About the Department :

Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, AGNii, and PMG.

Under the sectoral team of Textiles - Invest India, we are looking to hire an Associate/Assistant Manager who will be supporting the team for various activities as stated below.

Key Responsibilities :

- Creation of up-to-date and relevant knowledge content and collaterals for the Textiles sector including market opportunity, trends, policy initiatives highlight, success stories for pitch decks, brochures & flyers, country/ sector/ state profiles besides research on leading practices, and insights on replicable practices in the Indian context

- Business intelligence and data analytics by proactively undertaking activities such as tracking announcements, company reports, and websites, and global news databases such as Factiva for identification of and outreach to international and domestic leads for investments, in particular, FDI in target sub-segments.

- Creation and updating of the database of stakeholders including companies, government agencies, associations, think tanks, and start-ups in the Textiles sector

- Understanding and mapping regulatory compliances and ease of doing business measures and identifying and bridging existing gaps as highlighted by Textiles industry stakeholders

- Support for organizing stakeholder consultations, roundtables, site/cluster visits, and investment promotion events including summits and roadshows pitching the investment opportunities across the textile sector to potential investors across the portfolio countries

- Support investor aftercare and follow-up initiatives

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree (any field)/ 0-2 years of experience

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel, and PowerPoint

- Familiarity with industry databases for intelligence gathering is a plus
