Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Deal Support Manager to join our Deal Support team. Reporting to the Deal Support Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the deal management process by conducting analysis, preparing proposals, and ensuring the accuracy of contract-related documents.
Knowledge, Skills & Technical Know How
Deal Support Skills: Proven experience in deal support / sales support functions and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Sales Acumen: Understanding of the sales process and the ability to align deal support activities with overall sales objectives.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex deal structures and proposals.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Market Analysis: Knowledge of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the US healthcare space to drive sales efforts.
Strategic Vision: Develop proposals that align with the client's strategy and goals, US healthcare industry trends (specific to the client's industry segment), and our own strategy and goals.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with the deal support team, sales team, operations, legal, finance, and other teams to contribute to overall sales strategies and goals.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
Understanding of the sales cycle, decision-making processes, and key challenges faced by sales teams
Required Qualifications
Education: MBA or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in deal support, sales support, solutions development, or related roles, with a track record of success in supporting sales teams.
Certifications: Certifications in sales support are desirable.
Languages: Excellent written and spoken English.
Roles & Responsibilities
Proposal Preparation:
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational standards.
- Work with the sales team (and virtually attend sales meetings, where necessary) to understand the client's and the sales team's expectations from the proposal, and the proposed scope of work.
- Assemble information from various functions (Product, Operations, Solutions, Marketing, Clinical, Technology, etc.) to create the proposal
- Describe our capabilities, highlight our track record and case studies
- Explain how our solution meets the client's requirements
- Coordinate and follow up with multiple functional teams (Product, Operations, Solutions, Marketing, Clinical, Technology, etc.) to review and edit the proposal
- Work with the Deal Support Leader and the sales teams to refine and finalize proposals.
Contract Review:
- Conduct detailed reviews of contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to organizational standards.
- Highlight any discrepancies or areas of concern to the Deal Support Leader.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze data related to deals, performance metrics, and other relevant information to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Deal Support Leader to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with the sales team, deal support team, legal, finance, product, and other relevant departments to facilitate seamless coordination in the deal management process.
- Ensure effective communication and information flow between deal support and other teams.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the deal support process.
- Stay informed about industry best practices in deal support and incorporate relevant insights into daily activities.
Reporting:
- Provide regular updates on deal support activities, analysis, and performance metrics to the Deal Support Leader.
