Accountability and Objectives:
- As Inventory Planner, he/she is the POC for developing and executing category level sales and inventory strategies to optimize availability and inventory turns.
- End to end ownership of managing inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory, open-to-buy, inventory health, item-level forecasting and assortment planning.
- Manage inbound shipments - fill rate, ASNs, operational issues, lead time.
- Achieve and maintain high instock rates on replenishment programs.
- Analyze inventory position and SKU performance to determine inventory liability, determine exit strategy for unproductive inventory.
Experience :
- 2-9 years supply chain, inventory management and/or project management experience.
- Ability to effectively manage complex data sets and provide analysis and actionable insights.
- Experience in working with computer databases and tools and process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma which should have had an organization wide impact.
- Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership.
- Experience of successfully driving complex, milestone driven projects
Knowledge :
- Strong data extraction, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience with SQL is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with statistics or other analytical techniques.
