Come join Intuit as part of EMS (Employee Management Solutions) team as “Senior Development Manager”. We are looking for creative problem solvers with a passion for innovation to join our team and revolutionize the way the world does business. The position is based at the Intuit India Development Center (IDC) located in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities:

- Lead a high performing team focused on creating an awesome product experience for our customers.

- Build high performing teams by putting the right people in the right job at the right time.

- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate strategies and concepts to high-quality code.

- In this role you will help to help to bring out the best ideas from the best engineers by empowering them and leading by example.

- Manage a team of engineers, helping guide their careers, through coaching, mentorship, and performance management.

- Create shared vision and build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships / alignment with partners across the business (e.g. Program Mgmt, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Care, and Quality Assurance).

- Effectively works with broader teams and various stakeholders including senior product and business management.

- Participates in root cause analysis for defects and provides process improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar defects

- Understands industry best practices and recommends where and when to apply them on both an immediate, and long-term basis.

- Builds an internal and external network to leverage best practices and technologies.

- Coordinates technical dependencies with other teams.

- Influences business goals/roadmap beyond the specific project deliverables.

Qualifications:

- Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with a minimum of 12-14 years of hands on software development experience with Microsoft Technologies (Windows Desktop development & Web Application with C/C++, .NET/C#)

- 3+ years of prior experience in managing Development teams at Product organizations.

- Experienced as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products.

- BE/Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

- Adept at articulating the product vision and drive the future roadmap with strong business acumen

- Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders

- Experience with Agile development methodologies .Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills

- Must have strong analytical and learning skills, be decisive and detail-oriented

- Should be a self-driven and highly motivated individual

- Should be a good Team Player who can work across Product Management, Development, QA and Operations

- Thorough understanding of deployment systems and related activities of delivery of products.
