We are looking for an Internal Auditor for an Indian bank (Bangalore location) Must be a qualified CA having 1 to 3+ yrs. of experience in Internal Audit for an Indian bank. (Business/Concurrent audit.) Function : Internal Audit Reporting to (Title) - Head - Internal Audit Job Purpose : Internal Audit is primarily responsible for overseeing and managing compliance within an organization, ensuring that the company and its employees are complying: 1. With regulatory requirements 2. With internal policies and procedures Key Responsibilities : 1. Align audits to strategic goals, objectives and business risks - Improve stakeholder trust in audits by linking the objectives of the audit plan to the bank's strategy - Optimise audit productivity and efficiency by prioritizing resource allocation based on strategic objectives and risks 2. Enable an agile, intelligent, risk-based audit program - Prioritise audit plans in response to changes in the organization's risks, operations, programs, systems and controls - Broaden the audit scope to include emerging risks such as cybersecurity and technology risks 3. Strengthen collaboration with other lines of defense to provide integrated assurance - Ensure comprehensive coverage of risks, compliance, controls, and policy management programs - Provide the audit committee of Board with an aggregated view of risk and compliance issues that impact strategic objectives 4. Deliver a unified view of risks and compliance to drive informed decisions - Strengthen the board's and leadership's confidence in audit abilities by improving visibility into risks and compliance - Identify potential opportunities and areas of improvement; enhance internal controls and overall governance - Decrease costs by identifying and minimizing control gaps, inefficiencies, and redundancies - Drive revenue by making well-informed recommendations on how to leverage potential opportunities, as well as improve processes and controls Technical competencies : - Proficiency with MS Office and Windows-based microcomputer word processing and spreadsheet software - Seasoned knowledge of auditing techniques, banking principles and information systems and technology fundamentals
