Position: Logistics Lead
Job Type: Interim (on Fixed term basis for period of 6 Months)
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Implement the distribution strategy (route to market) including transportation, warehousing and last mile delivery to support distribution growth on all India Basis.
- Responsible for complete warehousing and CFA management across the region
- Manage transportation from CFAs / distribution centers to final customer including route / vehicle planning for both modern and traditional trade to optimize customer service and freight
- Responsible for ensuring high levels of Customer service (Viz DIFOT, Fill Rate etc.) at least possible -Logistics and Distribution cost, with high focus on order execution at customer level.
- Direct and control warehousing activities to ensure efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storage, repacking and distribution. Ensure appropriate financial, operational, quality controls and statutory / regulatory compliance to ensure operations in line with corporate requirement.
- High focus on operational planning that optimizes Supply Chain Operations' assets to achieve strategic and tactical deliverables
- Responsible for managing performance of all service providers through contracts / service level agreements, monitoring and operations reviews, for his region.
- Responsible for developing suppliers / service providers to provide logistics solutions to support efficient and effective distribution
- Working with leadership to design and tailor logistics processes including customer facing and back office procedures
- Management of Service Level Agreements via scorecard metrics trend analysis including high performance, timely and accurate forward and reverse logistics
- Identify, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues or gaps in logistics operations at program and task order levels
Stakeholder Management
- Work with the SC Planning, Production, Finance and Regional Sales teams, understanding sales forecasts, stock availability and timely execution of Sales order at the billing locations.
- Highlight concern areas in 3PL performance to Track and monitor performance against KPIs; Implement corrective actions to improve performance.
KPIs
- Inventory turnover to measure of how many times in a period a company sells all its stock of a certain product.
- Operating ratio = total operating expenses/total revenue
- Net profit ratio = after taxes profit/total sales
- Financial leverage = total debts/total assets
- Capacity utilization = actual production rates/maximum production rates
- Pick and pack cycle time = time packing is done-time order was picked in warehouse
- Truck Turnaround Rate (Truck Turning) or Average Wait Time (Average Dwell Time
- Lead time = time order was received - time order was placed
- Delivery time = time order was received - time order was shipped
