Interim Head - Transition Management - BPO
Project Background :
- The Company has launched a program to outsource operational financial activities to a 3rd party service provider. Process to be outsourced include AR, AP, GL accounting for India and US operations.
- Outsourcing partner has been identified and tentative date for the kick-off of the program is July first week with a transition timeline of 4 months. End objective is to transition activities from in-house team to outsourcing partner without any BAU disruptions.
- Current location in Scope : US, Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Bangalore, Hosur, Hassan
- Post transition location in Scope : One of Pune / Bangalore
- BUs in Scope : NIS and SBE
- Process in scope : AP, AR & GL accounting
- Estimated FTE for transition : ~8 10
- Technology in Scope : SAP ECC 6.0. Workflow may be
PMO Transition Management Objective & Responsibilities :
Objective & Responsibilities :
1. Manage end to end delivery of the outsourcing project as per agreed plan across phases
a. Due diligence
b. Plan finalization
c. Resource onboarding
d. Technology / Infrastructure setup and enablement
e. As Is and to Be Process definition & documentation
f. Knowledge transfer
g. Shadow and reverse shadow
h. Ramp up and stabilization
i. Change management
2. Manage implementation for workflow solution
3. Ensure quality deliverable across all track
4. Ensure timely completion of all actives from Omniactive as per RACSI
5. Risk management and program governance
6. Communication and change management
7. Quantify benefits
8. Track and deliver benefits
Partner is expected to :
1. Bring leading best practices from past implementation
2. Ensure all the documentation is up to date and approved
3. Ensure that SLAs are defined, implemented and tracked as per the agreement
4. Ensure that program is delivered within the budget and timeline
5. Escalate and commutated any deviations and budget from plan
Expectations on approach for partnership :
- Commercial should be outcome based a combination of fixed cost and result based fee
- Partner to propose team structure and size for the engagement
- Proposed resources should have
- A mix of PMO and financial transformation engagement experience
- Extensive experience on transition management for outsourcing, SSC setup
- Knowledge of technical set up for finance outsourcing
- At least experience 3 engagement for setting up end to end outsourced operations with experience in BPR and BPM(Very Important)
- Expertise in the domain of AR, AP and GL
