Job Summary:

The Accounts Specialist is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the Finance team in maintaining the financial health of the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles, including experience with Tally ERP.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

- Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and timely.

- Manage vendor and customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and collections.

- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.

General Ledger Management:

- Maintain and update general ledger accounts.

- Prepare and post journal entries.

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Financial Reporting:

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Generate reports and summaries for management review.

- Support the Finance Manager in financial analysis and forecasting.

Bank Reconciliation:

- Perform regular bank reconciliations.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Ensure accurate recording of all banking transactions.

Compliance and Audits:

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Support the budgeting process by gathering and analyzing financial data.

- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

- Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances.

Expense Management:

- Review and process employee expense reports.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.

- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Tally ERP Management:

- Utilize Tally ERP for accounting and financial management tasks.

- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in Tally ERP.

- Generate financial reports and statements using Tally ERP.

Support and Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

- Provide support to the Finance team as needed.

- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP).

- Strong MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.

- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Soft Skills:

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Good organizational and time management skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Certifications: CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
