Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Content Lead to oversee our content strategy and drive the creation of engaging, informative, and persuasive content. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing successful content strategies within the insuretech or financial services sector. They should be a strategic thinker, capable of aligning content with business goals and target audience needs. The Content Lead will lead a team of content creators and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the company's brand voice, target audience, and business objectives.
- Lead a team of content creators, including writers, editors, and designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Oversee the creation of a wide range of content types, including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, ebooks, videos, infographics, and social media posts.
- Collaborate with the SEO team to ensure content is optimized for search engines and aligns with SEO strategies.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align content with marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitor content performance metrics and use data-driven insights to make recommendations for improvement and optimization.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging content formats, and best practices to keep our content strategy current and effective.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging and tone across all content channels and platforms. Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and vendors for content production as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience (8-12 years) in content marketing, with a track record of creating engaging and effective content within the insuretech or financial services sector.
- Work with complete ownership and ability to drive results. Previous experience in a fast-paced startup and ability to work under ambiguity is preferred.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they apply to content creation which includes inlinking, meta tagging , keyword research, etc.
- Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and marketing automation platforms.
