Job Description

Job Role: Insurance Statutory Reporting (NAIC)

Location of Posting: GGN

Total Years of Experience: 5~ 8 years of Insurance Experience (Mandate – Current/ Previous)

Minimum Qualification: University Graduate

Professional Qualification : Chartered Accountant (Mandate) (CAs between 2006- 2008 )

Flexible to work in shifts (US)

Experience:

Technical

- Advanced Accounting and Reconciliations experience

- Should have experience and understand the framework of multiple reporting requirements (STAT/GAAP/ Management Reporting (Business Segment / Product / Portfolio Reporting to Sr. Mgt).

- Experience in accounting & STAT reporting in P&C insurance industry.

- Experience in Reconciliations and posting various transactions –accruals, provisions, bank statement, intercompany etc.

- Reconciliations including the sub ledger to the general ledger, asset classes and other classifications required for Upstream, NAIC reporting.

- Having experience in operation & Strategic Finance

- Ensure strong financial tracking process is implemented.

- Strong understanding of core financial processes and able to conceptualize and build new processes based on business requirements.

- Must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility

Key Accountabilities (Please specify the Activity list of the Incumbent)

- Responsible for preparation and review routine and recurring journals / accounting entries

- Manage & execute STAT close calendar and specific close activities

- Prepare & review GAAP to STAT reconciliations, adjustments

- Prepare STAT financial statement (Yellow book) and analytics

- Prepare non-complex routine & recurring journal / accounting entries

- Responsible for ensuring that work is delivered is fully compliant with the required policies and procedures, and meets KPI’s outlined.

- Develop and implement a framework for management review and challenge of substantiation and reconciliation outputs.

- Establish robust analytical procedures over the balance sheet & profit and loss account to build understanding of business and its key drivers and flush out any errors in the financials.
