Role Overview

As a Senior Manager/Manager - Analytics, you will lead a team of analysts to unlock business value through data insights. This role requires a blend of business acumen, problem-solving skills, and moderate technical expertise. You will drive strategic projects, enable decision-making with data, and occasionally apply advanced analytics and data science techniques to solve business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis, Reporting & Insights

- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive key business decisions.

- Build and automate reports and dashboards using tools like SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI to monitor performance metrics.

- Develop basic models to support business objectives such as partner retention, product optimization, and customer insights.

- Present findings in a clear, concise, and business-friendly manner to senior leaders.

2. Data Science & Advanced Analytics

- Apply statistical techniques and predictive analytics to solve business problems (e.g., customer segmentation, forecasting).

- Develop moderately complex data models and algorithms to enhance decision-making processes.

- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data availability and quality for analytics and modeling efforts.

3. Team Leadership

- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of analysts, ensuring high performance and professional growth.

- Provide guidance on analytical methods, problem-solving approaches, and business storytelling.

- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage innovation and continuous learning.

4. Stakeholder Management & Business Strategy

- Work closely with business leaders across sales, operations, marketing, and product teams to understand challenges and requirements.

- Translate business needs into analytical solutions and data-driven strategies.

- Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to senior leadership to drive business outcomes.

5. Project Management

- Manage end-to-end analytics projects, from scoping and execution to delivery of insights.

- Standardize and streamline analytical workflows for improved efficiency and accuracy.

6. Data Governance & Quality

- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency for reporting and analytics purposes.

- Partner with data engineering teams to enhance data pipelines and resolve data-related challenges.

Educational Background:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. MBA or Engineering with a focus on analytics or data science is a plus.

Experience:

- 5+ years in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field, with exposure to BFSI, FinTech, or InsurTech sectors preferred.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in SQL, Python (or R), and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.

- Familiarity with statistical techniques and machine learning basics for business use cases.
