Position: Sports Data Analyst

Department: Sports Science

Reporting to: Head of Sports Science

Job Location: Vijayanagara, Karnataka

Work Type: Contractual or Permanent

Nature of Work: Onsite

Responsibilities:

- Analyze and interpret large sets of sports data to generate actionable insights for various teams and stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, ensuring that data is clean, well-structured, and easily accessible.

- Build and implement machine learning models to enhance predictive analytics and improve performance metrics in sports.

- Utilize SQL to query, manipulate, and manage data from various databases.

- Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key sports data trends and KPIs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven strategies and recommendations.

- Troubleshoot and optimize Python code for data processing and model training.

Requirements:

- Proficiency in Python and its data science libraries (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).

- Strong experience with Flask framework for developing web applications and APIs.

- Solid understanding and experience with Machine Learning techniques and algorithms.

- Advanced knowledge of SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying.

- Experience with Power BI for building reports and dashboards.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.

- Ability to communicate technical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience working with sports data or in the sports analytics field.

- Analyze and diagnose business challenges and operational inefficiencies, recommending and executing tailored solutions.

- Leverage creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to both short-term and long-term business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Master's Degree.

- Power BI

- Python Flask Framework (Must have)

- SQL
