Role and Key Responsibilities:

- Manages the day-to-day sales efforts of a large group or multiple groups of sales reps and supervisors within an assigned sales group.

- Manages sales productivity of all sales personnel including revenue, profitability, and market share goals as well as the execution of strategic and tactical sales goals and plans.

- Reviews and approves sales productivity reports for group.

- Responsible for developing and retaining a qualified sales team or teams.

- Develops and implements systems to emphasize progressive sales skills in sales reps.

- Promotes continual learning, productivity, and improvement of sales team.

- Fosters, promotes, and strengthens relationships with key customers and vendors.

- Communicates product and market information.

- Quotes, negotiates, and closes inventory pricing and availability. Also, quotes, negotiates, and closes bids made on behalf of customers.

- Facilitates, researches, negotiates, and resolves credit and customer services issues.

- Acts as a resource and provides technical assistance and coaching to less experienced sales personnel.

Key Skills and knowledge:

- Typically requires a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience.

- Comprehensive knowledge of IT distributor sales processes, programs, and systems.

- Ability to drive goal attainment.

- Demonstrated contracts management skills and experience.

- Demonstrated experience in meeting and/or exceeding sales productivity goals.

- Works on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

- Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.

- Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.

- Requires the ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.

- Manages activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods and staffing.
