Job Summary:

- A newly created team of Mobile Application Consultants, part of our IT Services organization, will bring enhanced innovation to our customer portfolios and the geographical areas. The Mobile Application Consultant will be part of the Global Innovations – Mobile team, and will help shaping and defining compelling Enterprise mobile applications used within as well as externally. This person will lead a group of Mobile Application consultants to help shape and define technical solutions for Enterprise mobile applications for smartphones and tablets .

Essential Functions of the Job:

- Lead a small team (4-5 members) of Innovation Consultants – Mobile Technology

- Evangelise and articulate new concepts for Enterprise mobile applications to the business leaders .

- Work with the IT Strategy team to define roadmaps and directions for Mobile.

- Evaluate external ideas, solutions, products and technologies MAM, MDM, HTML5, BYOD, iOS, Android, Blackberry,Windows

- Define and conceptualize mobile applications – Greenfield applications or Mobile enablement of existing Enterprise Web applications.

- Work with senior business stakeholders to help them evolve their ideas into clear recommendations and strategies on what/how mobile solutions are to be implemented

- Articulate the solution and concept in sufficient detail to enable the teams to build the components of the different mobile solutions.

- Execute various idea creation campaigns

- Work closely with customers to understand requirements, pain points and generate proactive ideas to improve service delivery or operational effectiveness

- Work with customers to collate and prioritize ideas

- Work closely with the Innovations R&D team for conceptualization and PoC development

- Facilitate hand over of initiatives from Innovation to Solution

- Extend leading practices across business units

- Evaluate external ideas, solutions, products and technologies that could be used to expand .

- Identify barriers to change when implementing initiatives and find ways to reduce them

- Work with teams and resources across geographic locations to achieve Innovation objectives

- Recognise and stimulate unusual ideas with high potential impact

- Use personal networks to link ideas and people that might not otherwise interact

- Apply unique skills and interests to develop new opportunity domains

- Plan various idea creation campaigns, collate and prioritize ideas

- Interface with IT Services leadership, obtain business support for innovation activities

- Develop and promote significant initiatives to address priorities (Example: service consistency, cost efficiencies) and extend leading practices across business units.

- Identify and evaluate external ideas, solutions, products and technologies that could be used to expand.

- Manage multiple view points and ways to express them so that the organization benefits from different insights and ideas

- Drive teams and resources across geographic locations to achieve Innovation objectives

- Facilitate hand over of initiatives from Innovation to solution

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

- Identify process, structural and cultural issues when managing complex problems and find ways to resolve them

- Be able to spot Innovation opportunities and channel them through the Innovation Process

- Guide Innovation Consultant to work with functional / development team to implement ideas

- Help customers to understand Innovation ideas and how they can be used to help achieve its overall vision

- Prioritize the leads / opportunity based on the Global priorities and firm’s business impact

- Enhance service delivery through frequent interaction with the end user and (or) business sponsors

- Understand the process gaps and propose preventive / corrective action where appropriate

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

- Excellent observational insight and the ability to spot an idea

- Ability to problem solve challenges and issues – using effective organizing and planning skills

- Good creativity and conceptualization skills

- Should have a passion for technology and change management

- Focussed on quality and excellence in delivery of customer service

- Strong interpersonal and people management skills

- Understanding of defined innovation process and frame works

Supervision Responsibilities:

- The Innovation Consultant Lead – Mobile role will take responsibility of leading a small team of area Innovation Consultants - Mobile

Other Requirements:

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

- Proven influencer and communicator with senior stakeholders at all levels of the organization

- Ability to work within a matrix organization

- Excellent Communication, Presentation and Soft Skills for communicating with Senior Management, working in project teams and with customers

- Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences including senior management

- Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality

- Travel required

Job Requirements:

Education:

- Graduate/Post Graduate in a Technology, Engineering or Management based specialism

Experience:

- 12+ years of industry experience with proven experience in the ability to understand wide-ranging, out-of-the-ordinary, technical and business domains in depth

- Proven experience in helping other people turn their ideas into reality; work with multiple fluid team structures which requires trust and integrity

- Experience in working on novel projects and proven ability to bring ideas from conception to completion

- Proven experience in leadership role with strong customer focus

- Experience in leading the development and management of new products and services

- Experience in business process re-engineering

- Experience in managing multiple concurrent initiatives

- A strong track record of successful delivery and benefits realization
