Job Description:
You will work closely with the Strategy head, Board of Directors, CEO and business leaders to define Innoterra's strategy, drive strategic initiatives including M&A
As a key member of our Strategy and Corporate Development team, the candidate would be expected to support a number of strategy initiatives, funding support, merger and acquisition transactions, originate opportunities, evaluate their attractiveness, structure new business transactions, program-manage internal and customer facing projects, while handling the operating rhythm of the platform and nutrition divisions of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform market and competitor research to understand industry trends and latest technology trends to define an optimal solution with differentiation
- Work with the senior management to concretize the five-year business plan, market analyses, financial analyses, and scenario planning
- Support deep dives into business operations with data driven approaches
- Analysing Business units and collaborating with the business heads to drive initiatives
- Building technology, tools and new workflows for productivity, market differentiation
Buy Vs. build decision making
- Collaborating with competency and delivery heads in the company to develop strategic presentations for large customers/partnerships/ deals, etc
- Support developing of business plan for acquiring companies in coordination with BU Heads and explore growth opportunities to align with the strategic vision of the Group
- Support end-to-end M&A process - target search, industry and competitor analysis, valuation benchmarking, term sheet preparation, due diligence, negotiation with target and deal documentation
- Support evaluation of acquisition candidates; build financial models and business cases for acquisitions and funding
- Coordinating with investment bankers, tax consultants, legal counsel and other external parties for acquisitions
Skills and attributes for success
- 5+ years of experience in strategy function of a big corporate or consulting experience with MBBs or Big 4s
- Experience in handling end to end M&A deals in the Indian and/or European markets
- Experience in Agriculture and Agritech sectors is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to conceptualize solution features to improve business process and outcomes
- Familiarity with BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, etc
- Strong analytical skills and structured thinking
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to details and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to understand detailed process/operations, map business processes, and identify opportunity areas & solutions for implementation
- Ability to work with tight timelines
- Ability to develop/ customize solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Windows office systems, especially including Excel and Powerpoint proficiency
