We have an opportunity for an Infrastructure Migration Architect for one of our client.

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Ability to develop the cloud services portfolios like migration services.

- Ability to develop the plan, evaluate, and inject the new migration tools and methodologies.

- Support the Cloud Services Senior Management on developing Migration Offerings.

- Own end to end build projects and closely work with Customers and Project managers

- Lead the cloud migration team and provide a strong technical support to the team

- Evaluate the requirements and determine actionable tasks and effort estimates for build projects

- Perform operational readiness tasks and ensure production acceptance criteria are met

- Perform build and handover documentation for delivery/support (BAU) teams and conduct Handover Workshops

- Prepare test plans and execute

- Perform Capacity Management / Performance analysis

Person Profile :

Required :

Technical Skills :

- The candidate should have a strong knowledge on Cloud concepts and Virtualization

- Solid experience on large scale Vmware infrastructure with Multi tier networks and Storage.

- Should work on at least 3 recent versions VMware Virtualization Infrastructure.

- Knowledge on Migration tools and Migration methodologies

- Knowledge on other Hypervisor products are desirable

- Should have experience on automation and ability to write powercli scripts.

- Knowledge on vCloud Suite (1.5,5.1)

- Good Knowledge on Public Clouds like AWS, Azure

The candidate should have thorough understanding and experience with the following core infrastructure technologies :

- Strong work experience on Windows and Linux Platform

- Microsoft Active Directory 2003/2008

- Expertise on SMG Process management.

- Should have strong Knowledge on Servers / BladeCenters / BladeCenter modules and their management tools.

- Strong knowledge on the enterprise storage, backup and network technologies

Personality Skills :

- Able to manage the team.

- The applicant should have a exceptional verbal and communication qualities

- Able to present and communicate technical designs and solutions to peers

- Interact clearly with Customer and on-shore project teams

- Exceptional written skills are required for solution documentation creation for both technical and non-technical material

- Able to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines

- A background of infrastructure design engineering and deployment experience in an Outsource service environment

- As an Infrastructure specialist, maintain a thorough understanding of new product features and solutions

- Knowledge on Project and resource management

Preferred :

Technical Skills :

- Experience on any of the below virtualization technologies

- KVM

- Microsoft HyperV

- Citrix XenServer

- Knowledge on migrations tools like Novell PlateSpin, VMware Converter

- Experience with VMWare VSphere Server Assessment Tool / Capacity Planner

- Knowledge on SQL database

Certifications :

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

- Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer for Virtualization (Citrix CEEV)

- Novell PlateSpin

- Microsoft MCSE or equivalent
