Job Title: ISG ESO Research Analyst/Sr. Analyst/ Specialist/Assistant Manager - Engineering Services

Location: Bangalore, India

Description:

The ISG ESO Research specialist supports ad research projects and ad-hoc requests around IT and BPO domains. The successful candidate will have significant ITO/BPO/captive research experience, above average English writing and speaking skills, extensive experience in performing secondary research, and exceptional organizational skills. The candidate should also bring on table some experience of syndicated research.

Responsibilities:

The ISG ESO Research Analyst/Sr. Analyst, Specialist/Assistant Manager works as part of a global, with a strong emphasis on collaborating with others in all aspects of the job.

- Lead and deliver on custom research projects and ad-hoc requests from customers and senior consulting executives.

- Act as an individual contributor in research and consulting engagements as required

- Part of the team to create research capabilities in Engineering services and R&D space. Focus on analyzing Supplier service offerings and capabilities, engineering services and R&D market scan and analysis, support consulting team in their engagements related to Engineering services and R&D space.

- Communicate with stakeholder on timelines and scope and take ownership of deliverables from the team

- Provide support to other research groups around areas like market intelligence, assessments etc.

- Conduct secondary research, where internal expertise does not exist.

- Anchor custom research projects or portions of large custom research engagement around IT/BPO/captives/service provider capabilities etc.

- Support SME in white paper and thought leadership paper creation.

- Create excel based models as required for research or consulting projects.

- Good exposure to survey methodologies and competitive intelligence

Requirements:

- Two to Seven years of experience in business or IT outsourcing and research.

- Good exposure and understanding of Engineering services and R&D space with at least 2 to 4 years- experience of market research in this area.

- Engineer from reputed institute, MBA or M.S. preferred.

- Demonstrated secondary research experience, and good exposure to primary research skills

- Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills.

- Strong excel modeling & power-point skills

- The ability to extract meaningful information, form and test hypothesis and formulate a point of view based on interviewing internal and external experts, analyzing available data and filling gaps with secondary research.

- The ability to work a flexible schedule, collaborating with both US and European regions. May occasionally require evening work hours and long hours.

- Ability to work with ambiguity and multi-tasking.
