Your key accountabilities

- Accountable for the engineering and maintenance of the enterprise framework to support data movement and transformation across the Enterprise. This would include for example, integration into release management, code control and monitoring; common components around job restartability, logging and audit etc.

- Leading the Informatica technical forums, to communicate the product roadmaps and engineering to support the vision. Ensure delivery line of business participation on technical discussions to provide their pain points and requirements to allow appropriate prioritisation which will extend our data integration capabilities

- Provide consultancy to Line of Business delivery teams for guidance on the usage of Informatica

- Liaise with the solution architects and project manager’s to help design optimum solutions for line of business applications

- Work with architecture groups to ensure that the proposed architecture, tool selections and supporting technical capabilities are fit for purpose to support the data strategy

- Keep up to date with the Informatica product’s and work closely with technology infrastructure and operations to ensure that the platform is maintained to supportable versions

Your skills and experience

Essential skills

- Experienced developer of Informatica PowerCenter

- Experience or Knowledge of Informatica PowerExchange, Data Transformation and Data Quality

- Experience or knowledge of Informatica Administration

- Experience in UNIX shell scripting. Knowledge of other scripting languages i.e. Perl

- Experience and knowledge of Unix e.g. Linux

- Strong leadership skills, strong customer focus and the ability to lead and work well within globally distributed teams

- Must be a self starter who can work with a vision and translate to a set of deliverables

- Experience and exposure of working with data strategies, the design of different types of data stores; transactional, operational data stores, data marts and data warehouses

- Assessment and evaluation of technologies and tools which support Data Integration

- Good client awareness skills with the ability to manage expectations and prioritise demands.

- Commercial and pragmatic approach to Architecture whilst maintaining respect and authority for the data integration domain.
