Industry Research Analyst

We are looking for candidates from Mumbai Location with experience into Industry Research.

2-8 years of relevant experience covering industries/ sectors such as EPCs, Infrastructure (Roads, Ports and Airports/ Airlines), Metal & Metal Products, Steel, Automobiles & Ancillaries, Edible Oils, Energy (incl. Renewable), Telecom, Textile, Pharmaceuticals, Financial Institutions (NBFCs, Capital Markets).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop in-house expertise by providing sharp and incisive analysis on all high exposure industries/ sectors in bank's portfolio

2. Sector-agnostic assessment of broad parameters relating to demand-supply scenario, cost structures, competitiveness and regulatory framework

3. Identify sectors that are expected to witness stress or likely to come out of stress based on lead indicators, industry benchmarks, peer reviews

4. Provide medium term outlook on various parameters in the high exposure industries/ sectors in bank's portfolio

5. Perform portfolio analysis to identify financial performance of companies within an industry and discuss trends

6. Develop industry specific financial and operational metrics for credit evaluation

7. Present research and reports to senior management and other stakeholders

8. Publish reports covering trends and outlooks for key sectors, auto sales data, commodity prices, industry health, etc. while taking responsibility for regulatory submissions (incl. stressed sectors, co-related sectors)

9. Opportunity (optional) to participate in credit risk function for Financial Institution clients

10. Navigate through various industry databases, rating agency reports, etc. and synthesize information in desired output format

11. Be proficient with MS Excel and Power Point with ability to collate, synthesize, process and present data (well-spoken and good writing skills)

12. Have a penchant for reading research reports and stay abreast with economic and industry related developments
