Role Overview :

- Indus Insights is looking for top-notch professionals for roles in Data Sciences, Machine Learning, and Analytics. This is a phenomenal opportunity to use Analytics & Machine Learning to address some of the most exciting problems in fintech, banking & digital sectors. All our positions are front-end roles, wherein you will work directly with top tier clients across the globe, including in the US, Australia, Canada, UAE, and India.

- You will work alongside with some of the sharpest minds of the country, and may also lead teams (depending upon experience). You will work with clients to better understand opportunity areas, design sophisticated predictive models & machine learning algorithms, develop business strategies using these analytical models, and then present your findings to client leadership & get organizational alignment. You will routinely interact with CEOs, CMOs, CROs, and Heads of P&L.

We are looking to fill positions of :

Individual Contributor Positions : Associate & Sr. Associate (0-3 years of relevant work experience)

Supervisory Positions : Associate Manager, Manager, Sr. Manager (3-10 years of relevant work experience)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Drive analytical thought process on projects :

- Get involved in brainstorming sessions, build analytical plan, identify value creation areas, pressure test approaches & outcomes, etc. Plus (for managerial roles): Provide guidance to junior team members, be responsible for quality control

2. Build superior models, algorithms, and strategies :

- Design complex predictive models & machine learning algorithms, horserace approaches, create derived attributes, optimize strategies, compare outcomes, etc

3. Communicate with Clients :

- Manage the relationship with clients, craft the overall - story, make presentations to clients, liaise with client team members, ensure smooth delivery of projects

4. (For Supervisory Roles) Drive growth of people and of the firm :

- Supervise the work of others, provide career mentorship to junior team members, be involved in hiring activities, lead internal R&D projects, identify internal innovation areas

ELIGIBILITY :

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

1. EDUCATION : Graduate of one of the following colleges :

- Undergrad: IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Chennai, BHU), BITS Pilani, SRCC, St. Stephens, LSR

OR

- Grad (MBA/PGDM etc): Top business schools - IIMs (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow), ISB, XLRI

Also open to non IIT top tier engineering colleges (DCE, NSIT, NITs) or - Tier 2 business schools (NMIMS, IMT, etc) - if- rest of the profile is superlative

2. Language : Expert in written and spoken English

3. If you wish to be considered for Experienced positions (Sr. Associate & Higher), you need to have INTERMEDIATE or EXPERT Level of experience with:

- Data manipulation tools (such as SQL / SAS) and at MS-Excel AND Developing predictive models (e.g. linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, etc)
