Indospirit - Finance Controller - CA - Quick Service Restaurant Business

About Us: Indospirit started as a distribution company for international alcohol brands. Today it is one of the few companies to have a significant presence across every vertical of the alco-bev value chain - be it Manufacturing, Import, Distribution, Wholesale & Retail (Vend & Bars).

Indospirit has launched its own chain of restaurants and bars under the brand - BarShala- in Delhi. There are currently 7 bars pouring with another 8 bars in the pipeline. BarShala aims to become the largest organised bar chain in India.

Summary: We are looking for a finance controller to handle the entire finance function for our quick service restaurant business. The Finance Controller will be reporting to the CFO, Indospirit Group.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

- Ensure monthly book closure and reviews

- Audit experience in scrutinising invoices and expenses - having the ability to go in-depth to prevent fraud and identify leakages

- Implement effective internal controls and processes with respect to all financial transactions

- Create policies around procurement and usage of products

- Indulge in vendor negotiations and business heath check

- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management

- Provide for a system of management cost reports

- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations

- Liaison with business team to ensure smooth conduct of operations

- Drive P&L ownership culture with the business teams

Desired Profile :

- CA with 6-8 years of experience shall be preferred post qualification

- Relevant experience in Restaurant industry to be an added advantage

- Creative problem solving ability -- think critically and recognize discrepancies and anomalies
