OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
The primary goal of the India Purchasing Coordinator is to support the Division Purchasing Manager with the implementation of the Global Purchasing strategy and the scouting of the local suppliers
REQUIREMENTS
- At least a Bachelor in Management, Economics or Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Purchaser / Buyer within international organizations
- Experience with sourcing finished products/components
- Background in hydraulics is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scouting local suppliers for company strategic products (finished products and components), following the priorities set by the Division Purchasing Manager
- Manage and negotiate commercial conditions with the local suppliers
- Support the implementation of the Global Purchasing strategy within the region
- Ensure the sourcing of strategic products from Qualified Suppliers and the observance of the global purchasing procedures
- Implement supplier rationalization projects following the global guidelines
- Coordinate with all the relevant stakeholders (Technical, Quality and Supply Chain departments) for a successful qualification and phase-in of new suppliers
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Negotiation skills
- Analytical skills and understanding of cost factors & pricing methodologies.
- Problem-solving and result-oriented approach
- Ability to prioritize
- Effective communication and ability to influence key stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience with using SAP
- Basic understanding of Power Bi tools & application
- Fluency in English
