The HR Functional Excellence Leader role supports India Country HR Director in providing Strategic direction to the HR function and provides overall HR leadership to HR team located in India. The successful candidate will partner with and support HR leaders located in India and help drive pan India HR initiatives. The candidate will report directly to the India Country HR Leader.
Responsibilities:
Country HR Office:
- India HR STRATPLAN: Enable creation and deployment of HR STRATPLAN in India in collaboration with SBG HR Leaders in India.
- Project Management: India HR team runs 12 - 15 high impact projects every year. The objective will be to keep projects on track and monitor time bound implementation and effectiveness.
- HRMIS: The incumbent will support Country HR Director in driving quarterly MOS with SBG HR Leaders in India
- HR Analytics: Drive HR Analytics (including Predictive Analytics) in areas of relevance and create a cause for change.
- Special Projects: Global and regional initiatives lead to some short duration projects and the incumbent will be expected to enable completion of the same.
HR Support for Country Management of one key SBU
- Deploy pan India HR Initiatives as required using local, regional and Country HR resources Provide prioritization, leadership and focus to drive organization development through staffing and compensation initiatives in partnership with India CoE- s
- Participate in the development and implementation of organizational talent strategy and planning in conjunction with INDIA business leaders, lead cross functional and cross business MRR and talent
development initiatives for India region
- Provide executive coaching and strategic HR support to one India leaders SBU; engagement model (sitting on LT meetings) varies by SBU
- Represent the SBU on various teams across India including One Country Model implementation teams and
India Human Resources Council
- Leadership direction (MOS) for regional business and one country HR team and processes, in partnership with global, Functional and COE HR leaders, including talent management, organization design, succession planning, learning, labor relations strategy and compensation strategy and planning
- Develop regional development & succession planning for leadership and critical key roles
- Own and lead HR performance improvement metrics for Aero India including PER, OEF, HR VoC, census and staffing cycle times
- Single point of contact for SBU HR in India

Position may require up to 25% travel:
Qualifications
Education: BE plus MBA from XLRI/TISS/SCMHRD/SIBM or a Tier A College
Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree strongly preferred. A specialization in Labour Relations, Human Resources, Organization Development, Learning, or related discipline also preferred. Previous progressive professional Human Resources experience including prior leadership/management roles, site HR experience, and experience supporting regional client groups is required.
Past experience of working with HR Consulting firms is preferable but not essential.
