Experience : 6-10 Years (Instrument Sales)
Qualification : MBA - Marketing or sales
Preferred Product Knowledge: Analytical Instruments, Scientific Instruments, Dairy Instruments, Food Processing Instruments, FTIR Technology, NIR, GC, or any related Instrument Sales experience.
Job Description:
- The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing efforts within the assigned territory to meet company targets and objectives.
- This role requires a proactive approach to manage regional sales activities, drive growth, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Target Achievement: Responsible for achieving sales and collection targets within the assigned region.
- Oversee regional sales, promotions, and payment collections.
- Field Management: Manage and supervise day-to-day field activities to ensure efficient business operations.
- Territory Coverage: Ensure adequate coverage of the territory through customer visits and engagement.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute effective sales plans in coordination with subordinates, peers, and superiors.
- Customer Relationship: Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders in customer accounts.
- Build positive relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business.
- Market Analysis: Gather and analyze competitor and market data to provide timely feedback to management.
- Customer Service: Address client issues promptly and propose effective solutions.
- Provide timely and accurate information as requested by management.
- Opportunity Identification: Analyze market trends and identify new growth opportunities in the region.
- Performance Management: Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, and recommend improvements to achieve targets.
- Training & Development: Periodically brief and train the sales team.
- Motivate and guide them to achieve sales objectives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business goals are met.
- Exhibition & Presentations: Participate in industry exhibitions and deliver presentations as needed.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required by company policy
