Index Analyst - BFS

The Team is responsible for implementing Index ideas in the form of investable benchmarks, testing Index methodologies, benchmark determination and dissemination process which includes ongoing calculation, publication and maintenance of benchmarks. BAT is a global team with offices in London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, New York and Buffalo and continued growth in business has meant that we are looking to increase the size of BAT globally.

This is an opportunity to join the Mumbai team in a role with primary responsibilities -

- Data management including securities maintenance internally, cross-vendor identifier mapping, market data maintenance which includes price, corporate events, exchange calendars

- Process improvements in data management

- Ongoing maintenance which includes calculation, reconciliation and reporting for cross-asset benchmarks

- Develop an understanding of Index calculation models

Qualifications:

- 5-8 years relevant experience

- Working experience of Python would be advantageous

- Knowledge of corporate actions

- Extensive use of Excel

- A thorough, organized and detailed approach to work

- Excellent spoken and written English Excellent communication

- Self-motivated

- Supervisory experience would be beneficial

Education:

- Bachelor- s/University degree or equivalent experience
