Inbound Logistics Executive - FMCG

Required immediately and urgently an”Executive- Inbound Logistics” for a MNC FMCG Company for their new Green Field Plant at Sricity in Andhra Pradesh ( about 68 kms. From Chennai).

This job is responsible for entire warehouse functions, Receipt & Issue of materials, disposal of rejected/expired material, Facing regulatory Audit & inspections, documentations etc.

Key responsibilities include:

- Receipt of all materials in plant (Raw Material/Packaing Materials/Promotional materials)

- Issue of materials to production

Warehouse management and stock reconciliation

Inbound Material in Plant warehouse :

- Responsible for handling the entire warehousing operations, inventory management, in-bound material receipts and issue to production.

- Co-ordination with the procurement team for materials planning and control

- Execution of unloading operations for raw and packaging material and ensuring stacking the goods properly in the RM/PM warehouse.

- Ensuring that vehicle inspection is carried out for all inbound vehicles in the plant.

- Preparation of Material Receipt Notes in Oracle and coordinating with quality assurance team for approval of samples followed by unloading of vehicle.

- Ensuring that all the required documents like COA, PO etc. should be in place prior to unloading of goods.

- Ensure optimum utilization of warehouse space; follow lean management principles to manage the warehousing operations.

- In case of damage goods and rejected material, follow SOP and return the goods as per the procedures.

- Ensure disposition of any damage goods in the warehouse during handling as per damage destruction and disposal policy.

Issue goods to production :

- Ensure timely issue of raw and packaging material to production, shift wise issue and return to be accounted in books for reconciliation. This process has to be strictly in accordance with FEFO system.

- Any extra/ less material received after production needs to be highlighted to management for corrective actions for enhancing productivity.

- Manage co packing activities post production and follow up with co packer from the time of semi finished product receipt at his end to return of finished product at plant

Warehouse management:

- Responsible for setting up the warehouse and ensure storage and arrangement of material in the warehouse as per company’s guidelines

- Responsible for adherence to company’s sanitation and hygiene process during storage of raw and packaging material.

- Responsible for monthly stock count of raw and packaging material, report variation and take corrective measures as per management decision, also extend support to external quarterly audits and ensure compliance accordingly.

- Update management on a timely basis on audit findings and status of compliance on the same

- Monitor product age and shelf life on a regular basis and update management in case goods are nearing expiry especially in case of raw material.

- Keep track of non stock goods like promo material, toys etc and help in their full utilization during production.

- Support the team in finalizing contracts for co-packing activities and keep management posted on day to day working at co packer’s place.

- This position is based out of SriCity plant.

- Sricity plant operates 24 hours and 6 days per week and hence this position may require after hours attendance at the plant to meet job outcomes.

- Safety of employees at the plant is paramount; therefore the incumbent must work safely and ensure compliance with all local and state legislation.

- Adherence to Company’s policies and procedures is a must.

- Graduate preferably in Commerce with 5 - 7 years experience in a similar job function

- Should have good knowledge of computer especially in MS office and Knowledge of ERP system preferably Oracle is a must.

- Communication skills to be able to communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels.

- Salary would be between Rs. 9 to 10 Lacs.

- Candidates who have worked in MNC and FMCG ( Dabur, HUL, Nestle, GSK, Reckitt Benkiser, Pepsi, Coca Cola) environment only need apply.

- Must be willing to relocate to Sricity.
