In-Process Quality Role

Job Title: - Quality Engineer - Process

Experience: Preferably at least 7+ years' experience as a Quality Engineer, ideally within a high-quality manufacturing/production environment in the automotive industry

Reporting to: Quality Control Manager

Job location: London (UK)

Salary Details: Up to - 44k

Role and Responsibilities:

- Liaise between internal DNMN departments, and external suppliers, to ensure the quality requirements of the customers / production lines for which you have responsibility are met.

- Ensure that all internal quality standards are adhered to in line with customer, internal and regulatory requirements.

- Provide technical quality support to all internal departments.

- To facilitate and manage customer & internal quality concerns and the implementation of robust corrective actions which will prevent re-occurrence.

- Utilise SPC to reduce process variance and improve existing processes.

- Work closely with all other areas of the business to identify improvement actions to reduce scrap, rework and internal / external quality concerns.

- Attend regular meetings to review quality performance and agree improvement actions as part of the cross functional team.

- To conduct regular audits in production areas to ensure compliance to internal quality standards.

Required Skills:

- Possess a hands-on, can-do, practical and dynamic approach along with a broad engineering knowledge

- Hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline which includes a strong emphasis on quality.

- Experience with quality management systems such as IATF16949 & ISO9001. A strong understanding of problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why analysis, 8D, FMEA, and other modern quality tools and processes.
