- Strong techno-commercial candidate with a legal bent of mind towards customs and excise laws and other allied acts and should be thorough in HS classification and regulatory matters of the trade.”

- Thorough Knowledge of import procedures and documents

- Sound Knowledge of classification of goods as per ITC HSN classification, ability to analyse the product feature and enable to classify the products independently. Able to read, interpretconceptualise and implement the notifications, circular and public notices issued by customs/excise and various other Govt. Agencies.

- Sound knowledge of customs clearance of Air, Sea shipments mainly at BOM/NSA/DDR/TKD/HAL etc

- Import Data Maintenance and Entries in SAP (ZIDM)

- Making duty request and arranging the duty in coordination with Finance

- Coordination with Shipping lines, Airlines, CHA, Freight Forwarder and Transporters Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

- Thorough knowledge of ITC HS and HS Classification of imported items

- Maintenance of import records up till the statutory period Should be well conversant with MS Office

- Daily status report (DSR)/Delivery Exception Report(DER) updating and circulation Shipping quality condition (AQTION report) updating on web. Should have good understanding / exposure to International Logistics

- Vendor invoice verification, entries in SAP and bill passing

- Knowledge of export procedures and documentation. Good Knowledge of import related activities
