Position Title : Product Manager (Functional)

Location : Mumbai.

Reporting Manager : Chief Business Officer

We hustle Monday - Friday (1st & 3rd Saturday)

Under Impact Guru, Policy Guru/Carepal is an Insurtech startup. Insurance penetration in India is a huge problem. About only 20% of India has some form of health insurance. As an individual, you would have had some exposure to health insurance via policy bazaar, an agent who is generally a relative or your bank. Yet, you haven't bought it today. Why?

This is the problem we are trying to solve by creating innovative products in this space.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- To co-ordinate with stake holders to create design and deliver elegant user experiences that facilitate the capture of business impact.

- To ensure highest level of client satisfaction.

- Research, identify and articulate customer needs.

- Define the product strategy and roadmap and to lead the development of the roadmap by conducting best practice research, survey data, & analyzing the competitive environment and understanding key product metrics.

- Formulation and development of the product strategy, roadmap and development calendar by providing support in analyzing and validating organization & customer requirements.

- Responsible for reporting and assessing a log of proposed enhancements, major complaints and identified gaps for existing products to ensure continuous product portfolio improvements.

- Conduct ongoing analysis of existing product suites, associated target markets/competitors to provide in-depth industry, market and competitive analysis to assist in the identification and evaluation of new product opportunities.

- Work closely with all departments as necessary (sales, training, customer service) to assist and drive development of sales collaterals & advice tools, customer presentations, sales training materials and other product marketing collaterals that optimally positions, communicates the strengths of our products.

- Work alongside the product and tech team and build an effective solution to collate and display information in a seamless and simple way.

- Liaising with Insurance companies for Integration, legal & compliances and other product initiatives

- Plan the product mix with Insurance companies to be focused at regular intervals.

- Create a repository of all Insurance policies along with their policy documents.

- Ensure we have the best product, price offerings and support from Insurance companies.

Professional Experiences :

- General Insurance Industry experience

- Technical background to match the requirement & capability to deliver desired result within given time frame with available resources

- Having insurance domain knowledge, to help the business head to develop all the required insurance products individually and with the support of the team

- Sharp business acumen to drive business and maintain strong relations with Insurers
